SCIP Toronto Chapter’s first ever supplier showcase from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring world-class leading providers:

Special guest speaker at 5:30 – Avner Mandelman will speak for 45 minutes on the subject of how to develop real insights for your investing strategy beyond what is printed in the headlines.

Moving from the recessionary forces of 2009 to the recovery themes of 2010 and beyond will, at times, require new and innovative methodologies to maximize your return on investment.  Come, listen to and ask questions of Avner Mandelman as he shares his proven intelligence-gathering methods for obtaining exclusive information even before industry insiders do--and using it to gain a decisive edge in your investment strategy.  Network with leading edge providers of intelligence services and technologies to better equip yourself and your team in executing your strategy.

Mr. Mandelman is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Giraffe Capital Corporation and author of “The Sleuth Investor”. He has a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering from Israeli Technion University, an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an MA in English from San Francisco State University.

He started Giraffe in 1999 to invest in value tech stocks. Before that he ran the research departments at Gordon Capital, First Marathon and BBN, a brokerage research boutique whose six analysts (including Avner) were all ranked #1 in their field.  Avner writes extensively about investments in Canadian and US publications, including the Globe and Mail and Baron’s.
