Tapping Social Media for Market Analysis
University of Connecticut/Stamford Campus    Stamford, CT

Description
Much has been made of the marketing and customer service benefits of the social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.  Businesses are encouraged to make connections with their customers in order to stay top-of-mind and to address customer issues directly and immediately.  But did you know these sites can provide incredibly useful information on your competitors?  Customers?  Suppliers?

This panel discussion will highlight real-world examples of the Marketing and Competitive Intelligence uses of social media to collect (and act) on this valuable business information.  Participants will learn where to find this information, what to look for, and who to follow/friend to gain key insights into marketing and competitor activity.
