Alliances

Mission of Strategic Alliances

The purpose of developing strategic alliances is to develop a formal relationship between the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) and other professional associations to be of mutual benefit to both organizations and their members.  By collaborating, we strengthen the value of membership in our respective organizations.  SCIP's strategic alliances include:

  • The Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP): Our membership consists of more than 500 business owners from more than 20 countries around the world. AIIP member firms provide research and consulting services across a wide variety of industries.AIIP's members are owners of firms providing such information-related services as online and manual research, document delivery, database design, library support, consulting, writing and publishing. www.aiip.org

  • The Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) is the premier global advocate for product development and management professionals. Our mission is to improve the effectiveness of individuals and organizations in product development and management. This is accomplished by providing resources for professional development, information, collaboration and promotion of new product development and management.  We currently serve over 3500 members with the most up-to-date resources and information on new product development.  www.pdma.org

  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) - Their mission is to advance the arts, sciences, and technology of new business acquisition and to promote the professionalism of those engaged in those pursuits. Through association and education, we provide our members access to tools, methods, processes, innovations, talent and specialized expertise that can directly improve the ability to acquire new business and to sustain growth and competitiveness in a dynamic and demanding marketplace.  Their membership is growing rapidly into an internationally recognized association with membership and corporate sponsors from a diverse range of disciplines and industries. Our members are committed to the pursuit of proposal excellence. Our journey has been one of promoting the professionalism of our members and shaping the future of the proposal profession.  APMP membership reflects the diversity and wide range of disciplines resident in our constituents.  www.apmp.org

  • Association of Strategic Planning (ASP) (booth swap agreement only)  Founded in 1999, ASP is the only not-for-profit professional association dedicated to advancing thought and practice in strategy development and deployment for business, non-profit and government organizations. ASP provides opportunities to explore cutting-edge strategic planning principles and practices that enhance organizational success and advance members' and organizations' knowledge, capability, capacity for innovation, and professionalism. www.strategyplus.org

  • Special Libraries Association (SLA) (booth swap agreement only).  The Special Libraries Association (SLA) was founded in 1909 in the state of New York and is now the international association representing the interests of thousands of information professionals in over eighty countries worldwide. A historical information section outlines the history of the association and summarizes information about past presidents, conferences and other association information. www.sla.org
