SCIP Philadelphia/Delaware Presents: Ethics in Competitive Intelligence A panel and group discussion
Tell a Friend About This EventTell a Friend

In competitive intelligence gathering, white is usually straightforward: never talk to competitors, only use public published sources, etc. Black is also pretty clear, often governed by antitrust, espionage, and related laws. The real world isn't so black-and-white, though, and there's a lot of gray area to navigate. This is where ethics comes in. Everyone working in CI must set ethical standards. SCIP has Code of Ethics, and so should you and your business.

But there can be a lot of variation in what different individuals, businesses, and industries think is ethical. How do you decide where to set the ethical bar?

Join us for a lively panel (and group) discussion exploring issues in CI ethics. Come learn how different businesses and industries choose ethical standards, and contribute your own insights, too!

The panel will represent diverse industries and solution providers who can speak to the ethical guidelines they operate under. We'll start with prompted discussion among the panel members, followed by Q&A and group discussion where everyone can exchange experiences and perspectives.

Topics for discussion will include:
• Company Guidelines
• Ethical issues when using of Consultants/CI Vendors
• Interactions with competitors (and former employees of competitors)

Come, join us for a thought-provoking and educational event. And don't forget to bring your own insights!
