Last year, members of the so-called Millennial generation – people born in the years 1981-1997 – became the largest share of the American workforce.  Among the implications of this generational evolution of the workforce is the need to adapt competitive intelligence processes and technology within enterprises to the preferred work style (and the instinctive behaviors) of the new plurality. For example, Millennials are collaborators, not searchers; therefore, the traditional notion (and design) of a “search engine” needs to be re-conceived as something more closely approximating a “browsing engine.”  The seminar will discuss the optimal user experiences for the evolving new workforce, including CI portal organization.
  • Millennials' 3 distinct CI research "behavioral preferences"
  •  3 CI technology priorities to accommodate Millennials' preferred work style
  • The potential multi-million-dollar "gotcha" for enterprises
