The Challenge

How do we measure and define social good? How do we understand impressive impact? And how do we find and reward the nonprofit organizations that are achieving their missions most effectively?

In the social sector, these questions represent what is arguably the most pressing challenge for philanthropists and nonprofits alike: assessing impact. Without agreed-upon standards for what constitutes an effective outcome, it is extremely difficult for donors to know where their dollars will do the most good. In a world with more problems than the money to fund solutions, maximizing impact should be paramount. Unfortunately, there is currently a dearth of accessible tools and resources to help changemakers understand and act on these critical issues. We need your help to fix this. Project Brazil & Project Nigeria

As an association of talented intelligence professionals from around the world, SCIP is well positioned and fully committed to giving back to communities in a powerful way. As part of its philanthropic efforts, SCIP has two major projects under way that will use strategy and competitive intelligence tools to guide key actors to solving the main social “wicked problems”. Project Brazil and Project Nigeria will each tackle a daunting challenge faced by local communities with a unique strategic approach. Stay tuned for updates on these important programs!
