One of the most challenging aspects of being a competitive intelligence analyst is addressing credible objections raised in a sales engagement. These are often planted in the minds of your prospective customer by your opposite number working for your competitor, whose aim is the same as yours -- influence the prospect’s buying intention. These attack points are intended to put your company on the defensive, and occasionally can be difficult to address since they’re often not completely refutable
