Dear SCIP Community,
Putting the safety of our community first, the SCIP Board has unanimously voted to make IntelliCon 2020 an all-virtual event. While this is still a work in process, here’s what we can share.
What will Virtual IntelliCon look like?
Not a long webinar! We have an exciting opportunity to be innovative and creative, not just in the session topics, but also in the format and technology platform itself. We’ve convened a small working group of members and sponsors
to guide our planning, with the following goals:
- Personalized – Virtual will allow us to create a more personalized attendee and sponsor experience
- Accessible - Going virtual enables us to efficiently reach diverse audiences
- Flexible – We will divide the sessions into smaller “chunks”, so you don’t need to stare at a screen for 8 hours, or reserve an entire workday
- Interactive – We’re placing a high priority on allowing sponsors, speakers, and attendees to interact, both in groups as well as 1-on-1, including product demos
SCIP’s educational content (such as workshops and webinars) has successfully been 100% virtual since March, and we’re excited to bring some of those lessons learned to a Virtual IntelliCon.
What happens next?
We know you have additional questions. We’re working closely with our Board and our association management partner Ewald day and night to plan a truly outstanding and valuable event. So we ask for your patience as we quickly work through
issues around the program, scheduling, sponsorship, registration, and more. We don’t have all the answers at this point, but we do commit to do our best to work quickly, fairly, and transparently.
I’d like to again recognize the support that so many of you have shown. We appreciate your encouraging emails, offers to help, patience, and your faith in us. Thank you for your support of our member community.
