Jeff Cohan is a project manager for LAC Group, knowledge and information services division. He is responsible for managing the library at the international law firm, Kelley Drye and Warren. In this position and previous posting for LAC he is responsible for assembling organizational intelligence and insight, and contributing to his client’s overall strategy. Specifically, he develops strategic initiatives focused on staff utilization, driving value and cost efficiency, effective technology implementation, development of knowledge management and competitive intelligence processes for purposes of business growth and client retention, SWOT analysis, and performing analysis for purposes of lateral growth and acquisition. Jeff is also well skilled in web and intranet design used to effectuate these purposes. A Rutgers guy, he holds both graduate and undergraduate degrees from the school. In addition to being on the board for SCIP, he frequently speaks and writes on topics related to the intersection of knowledge management and CI/BI analysis and strategy. Earlier in his career, he was the president of the Law Library Association of Greater New York.
Jeff has a B.A in History and a B.A in Religion from Rutgers College, Rutgers University, and a Masters of Library and Information Science. from Rutgers University School of Communication and Information. He also has a paralegal certificate from St. Peter’s College.
