Director of Education, IACET Compliance Officer
As the Director, Education Programs, Michelle’s responsibilities are multifaceted. She is the point person for all thing’s education for SCIP; including the management and execution both virtual and in person education programming as well as being SCIP's IACET Compliance Officer. She also facilitates and manages SCIP’s Mentor Program as well as leading SCIP’s global chapter community and assists chapter leaders in creating content, sourcing speakers and marketing chapter events as well as providing support in any way that is needed. She is also the liaison to SCIP’s Board, providing administrative support.
Prior to joining SCIP, Michelle spent her career working in events in professional sports, both on the team and league levels, most recently with the New York Islanders in the Events and Game Operations Department as the Manager of Amateur Hockey Development & Events. While with the Islanders,she managed and administered the NHL’s Youth Hockey Initiative for the team as well as the team’s internal and external events. She also worked in both Special Events and International Broadcasting at Major League baseball as well as in client relations with both the New York Mets and the Buffalo Sabres.
Michelle is an avid hockey and football fan, loves the city of Buffalo, NY and ice skates in her spare time. She is a proud volunteer with the INN, an organization that provides meals, clothes and education assistance to men, women and families who are just getting back on their feet.
