   Nisha Sewdass is a Professor in the Department of Management Science: Strategy and International Management at the University of South Africa (UNISA). Prior to this she was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Science, University of Pretoria. Here she developed and taught the first undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Competitive intelligence at the university (the first in South Africa). She has published and presented several papers at local and international conferences. She has conducted several certificate courses and workshops in Competitive Intelligence and Knowledge Management for government departments and industry in South Africa. Professor Sewdass served on the editorial board as well as reviewer for several academic journals. She is the SCIP Global Advisory Council Lead for Africa. She is also the founder and Chair of the SCIP South African Chapter and the Chair of the African Summit. She serves on SCIP University's Professional development Program - Course Curriculum Review Committee. She has also served on the steering committee for the 29th Annual Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals International conference & Exhibition, 5-8 May 2014. She is the recipient of an Individual Recognition Award at the 29th Annual SCIP International Conference & Exhibition held in Orlando, FL. In May 2014 and the Award for Superior Achievement in the development of Competitive Intelligence Education and the advancement of the profession presented at the SCIP Africa Summit, October 2014 in South Africa.
