The session will also discuss how to build a support network for the CI unit and how to leverage that support for long-term stability. A high level over view of tools will also be covered.

 

Setting up the CI Function: Part II - Strategies

In this second part of setting up a CI function, the webinar will go over strategies to increase the sophistication of the unit expand the scope of services. This will focus on issues of phasing growth, enlisting other parts of the company in the CI effort, and creating sustainable demand for the CI services and CI tools. Other items covered will be budgeting, use of third parties, and the role of new technology such as artificial intelligence to facilitate the CI Unit operations.

The last installment, covers the initial start-up phase of the CI unit. This webinar cover tools used to manage CI activities and how to build Key Intelligence Topics and Key Intelligence Questions. The webinar will also review how to staff the CI unit with an emphasis on the skills and personality types needed, and circumstances where a third party can add value. The role, and function, of the CI cycle and how it relates to operating a CI unit will round out the session.
